Reliability is crucial to take the best decisions at Sea !
As we kick off the new year, we’re excited to announce a project that will provide maritime stakeholders with data they can trust. With the support of the French-Tech Emergence grant program from BPI-France 🏆, we’re developing a cutting-edge reliability index for ocean models and forecasts, thanks to the fusion of satellite observations analysed in real time.
Just take a look at the example above 🛰️. The agreement between independent satellite observations – a high-resolution chlorophyll image and a surface temperature image – is striking. This allows us to confidently guarantee the reliability of surface currents, as they match up with these independent observations.
Such new generation of ocean data allows the development of a platform that provides real-time data and synthetic decision support information for the short-term routing of commercial vessels.
